Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated RN/LPN Charge Nurse to join our team at Piper Shores, Maine's premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community. This is a full-time position in our 40-bed Skilled Nursing (Nursing Home) neighborhood.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10p-6a

Responsibilities:

  • Provides compassionate care to residents in the Skilled Nursing (Nursing Home) neighborhood
  • Responds to emergency calls and provides care as needed
  • Communicates changes to resident health or vitals with DON and/or Physician
  • Serves as a positive role model for C.N.A. and other clinical staff members
  • Completes required documentation and ensures compliance with CMS, CDC and Piper Shores standards of care

Qualifications:

  • Current RN or LPN license in Maine
  • CPR certification or ability to become certified
  • Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care facility preferred
  • Familiarity with dementia behaviors and ability to effectively communicate with individuals experiencing dementia
  • Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with Seniors and co-workers
  • Ability to stand and move for extended period of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently required
