Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop fiber optic network infrastructure architecture for secure information systems, security, and engineering projects
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and validate requirements, conduct end-to-end technical design planning, and provide data and voice fiber optic infrastructure systems analysis
- Develop specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems, provide schedules, budgets, and project criteria for physical design and layouts, and provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimations of a project's level of effort and cost to complete
- Create, inform, organize, and maintain all revisions and final as-built fiber optic drawings, and provide quality standards and training to operational customer teams
- Advise project teams of technology standard requirements, methodology, and processes, and enable short- and long-term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio
- Bachelor's degree in computer systems engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or related field (10+ years of relevant work experience is also acceptable)
- Knowledge and experience with Fiber Optic data center network infrastructure, ability to write architectural design documents, and accurately review designs provided by others
- Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies, and ability to apply trends to architectural needs
- Must have a thorough knowledge of computer network technology, design, and product implementation, and possess excellent management, organizational, and written and oral communication skills
- CFOS/D (Certified Fiber Optic Specialist in Network Design) and CFOS/DC (Certified Fiber Optic Specialist in Data Center Cabling)
