Job Title: Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide health services to students in our school district. As a Substitute LPN, you will work under the supervision of the certified school nurse to provide basic and specialized healthcare procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic and specialized healthcare procedures, including lifting, transferring, mobility, toileting, feeding, and supervising children.
  • Assist with health file review and conduct school-based screenings for students, such as vision and dental checks.
  • Assist with health-related tasks, including medication administration, urinary catheterization, and gastric tube feeding and care.
  • Provide assistance during transportation to and from school and for special school events as necessary.
  • Share in the responsibility of protecting students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Maintain positive work habits, maintain and upgrade skills, and perform all duties efficiently and productively.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of West Virginia with an unrestricted license.
  • Applicant must be adult and child CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
  • Applicant must have knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Applicant must pass a criminal background check.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary based on experience and education level, plus a benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
