About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team at Alsym Energy. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for driving the development and scale-up of our proprietary aqueous battery technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process control plans to ensure efficient and reliable manufacturing operations
  • Design, commission, and validate pilot-scale manufacturing equipment to support the scale-up of our active materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for mature manufacturing processes
  • Conduct hands-on experiments in the lab to guide the scale-up efforts and optimize process performance
Requirements
  • BS in Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of industry experience with demonstrated success in equipment commissioning, process development, and/or chemical scale-up operations
  • Experience with plant-scale manufacturing technologies and equipment
  • Hands-on individual capable of debugging process/equipment issues
  • Familiarity with industrial powder and separations equipment (sieves, spray driers, milling) is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with basic statistics, control charts, and/or statistical process control is highly preferred
