Role Overview:
The Senior Manager of Information Security Operations is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of our global information security team. This position is crucial for safeguarding the organization's information assets and maintaining a strong security framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management:
    • Direct and oversee the global Information Security Operations team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives for the security operations division.
    • Promote a culture of security awareness and ongoing enhancement within the organization.
  2. Security Operations:
    • Manage the daily activities of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).
    • Ensure effective monitoring, detection, and response to security threats and incidents.
    • Oversee security technologies and tools, including SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint protection solutions.
  3. Incident Response:
    • Establish and maintain the incident response protocols and procedures.
    • Lead the response efforts to security incidents, including investigation and recovery processes.
    • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
  4. Policy and Compliance:
    • Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies and standards.
    • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry best practices.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work in partnership with IT and product development teams to integrate security into operational processes.
    • Effectively communicate security risks and incidents to senior leadership.
    • Provide security training and guidance to all employees.
  6. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Assist in budget preparation for the Information Security Operations team.
    • Ensure optimal resource allocation to achieve security objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in information security, particularly in security operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a security operations setting.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
  • Experience in incident response management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
