Job Title: Space Systems Growth Lead

Leidos is seeking an experienced Space Systems Growth Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Aerospace Systems Business Area, you will be responsible for driving business development and strategy within the Space Division.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead growth efforts for the Space Division, including ownership of business development and strategy, while collaborating with other growth functions such as Government Affairs and Marketing/Communications.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of national and international space markets, including national security space, civil space, and commercial space. They will also have experience working with government agencies, such as NASA, Space Development Agency (SDA), Air Force, Space Force, Army, Navy, and commercial space providers.

The Growth Lead will be responsible for developing and managing a robust qualified pipeline, guiding opportunities through gate reviews with management, and leading business planning activities, including pipeline reviews, bid agenda development, and proposal writing and reviews.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing opportunities within the space community, with a strong understanding of customer gaps and underlying Leidos IP to fill those gaps. They will also possess excellent communication skills, analytical presentation and problem-solving skills, and the ability to negotiate for positive outcomes.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date opportunity details in a pipeline database, tracking marketing and B&P execution consistent with business priorities, and participating in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, with a Master's or doctoral degree in aerospace, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred. They will also have a strong understanding of IR sensing technology, space logistics, and the NASA Artemis program.
