Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform radiology procedures to produce accurate and high-quality images
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare providers through effective communication and patient assessment
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and policies to ensure patient safety and privacy
  • May assist in orienting new staff members to the department and performing specific procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • ARRT-American Register of Radiologic Technologist certification and CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
  • Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire (if required)
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
