Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial consultations with potential clients.
  • Analyze legal documents, including petitions and schedules, and assist clients in completing necessary paperwork.
  • Prepare for and attend creditor meetings alongside clients.
  • Oversee ongoing cases to ensure compliance with post-filing requirements.
  • Address any objections that arise during the case process and prepare for confirmation hearings.
  • Liaise with trustees to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Draft and file various post-confirmation motions and defend against motions for relief or dismissal.
  • Supervise and guide assigned paralegals in their duties.
  • Perform legal research utilizing resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and provide informed advice.
  • Draft and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Offer legal counsel to clients on a range of issues.
  • Effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for precise legal drafting.
  • Experience in legal negotiations and litigation is advantageous.
  • Proficient in legal research methodologies using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Previous experience is not required.
