We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the University of Iowa. As a key member of our Hematology service, you will provide high-quality patient care to adult patients with hematological disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of hematological conditions.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to inform diagnosis and treatment.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed.
- Document patient care and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa.
- Experience with EPIC clinical applications and hematology/oncology clinical practice preferred.
