Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to join our team at The J.R. Simplot Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality and production levels are achieved and sustained for the packaging equipment on the assigned line(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation, and GMPs.
  • Provide troubleshooting, repair, and support on equipment, instrumentation systems, and supporting equipment.
  • Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Operate and monitor equipment within the assigned Zone, including distribution systems, scales, baggers, seal detection, inspection equipment, and more.
  • Perform quality checks and sampling, ensuring compliance with established procedures and specifications.
  • Ensure metal detector checks and other required checks are conducted and recorded in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work around and consume products containing soy, wheat, and dairy.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift and assist with tote management as needed.
