Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Department Leader to join our team at The Kroger Company. As an Assistant Department Leader, you will play a key role in the success of our grocery department, assisting with the management of cash control, sales, and labor costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department
  • Manage the scheduling of Front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage
  • Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and profit and loss reviews
  • Assist with creating and executing budgets and scheduling of labor
  • Assist in the development and implementation of department action plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of inventory management and cash handling procedures.
