The Patient Access Representative serves as a vital first point of contact for patients, embodying the highest standards of customer service and compassion in alignment with our mission and values.

This role encompasses all aspects of a patient's entry into our facilities, including scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying benefits, pre-certifying services, and ensuring financial clearance, including pre-visit collections.

It is essential for the Patient Access Representative to gather and accurately input patient information into our records, maintaining meticulous attention to detail while staying informed about insurance providers, Medicare regulations, and compliance with federal and state guidelines.


Qualifications:
Experience: 1-3 years of clerical and customer service experience is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.

Required Education:
A high school diploma is mandatory.

Preferred Education:
Some college education is beneficial.

Other:
Key skills include effective oral and written communication, excellent telephone etiquette, and the ability to foster positive relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial. The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy is necessary. Proficiency with various computer systems and the ability to operate a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard are required.

Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs. It also requires prolonged periods of standing and walking during shifts, as well as the physical ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
