We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team as a Patient Service Coordinator/Medical Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Greets and registers patients, verifies insurance, and collects copays
- Schedules appointments, takes vital signs, and assists with patient care
- Provides excellent customer service and maintains a positive attitude
- Assists with front desk coverage, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries
- Coordinates scheduling, testing, and bone marrow biopsies
- Participates in interdisciplinary activities, such as staff meetings and committees
- Maintains high visibility and anticipates customer needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three years of direct patient care and/or phlebotomy experience
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Tuition reimbursement of up to $6,000 per academic year
