Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at UPMC. As a Patient Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information
  • Schedule appointments and verify insurance coverage
  • Collect copays and balance daily transactions
  • Assist with patient care, including vital signs, specimen testing, and EKGs
  • Coordinate scheduling and testing, including bone marrow biopsies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three years of direct patient care and/or phlebotomy experience
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups
  • Excellent organizational skills
