Job Summary

Aramark is seeking a skilled Driver to join our team in Seattle. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a bus, shuttle van, or straight truck, or boat-hauling vehicle, transporting passengers and supplies to and from designated locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily vehicle inspection forms prior to driving and after finishing your route.
  • Maintain a clean and pleasant atmosphere in and out of the vehicle.
  • Apply all safety equipment available and wear a seatbelt when driving.
  • Operate company vehicles weighing under 26,000 lb, transporting passengers or supplies to and from designated locations.
  • Drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills when encountering guests, ensuring a positive representation of Aramark.
  • Pick up and drop off guests at designated locations.
  • Transport passengers should be knowledgeable about the property and surrounding areas, acting as a concierge resource.
  • Fuel, clean, and inspect vehicles when required.
  • Identify maintenance and safety issues and take corrective action.
  • Ensure all vehicle logbooks are completed properly.
  • Work with the Transportation Office dispatcher to complete special requests and group requests.
  • May be assigned to work as warehouse drivers, safely transporting equipment to and from the warehouse.
  • May be required to perform maintenance and safety inspections on service trucks, pickups, trailers, and other vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 1+ year of professional driving experience and vehicle mechanical experience is preferred, as well as customer service experience.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Must pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and participate in the random drug/alcohol testing pool.
  • Must complete and pass a Defensive Driving Course prior to driving a company vehicle.
  • Drivers may be required to have a passenger endorsement or airbrake endorsement to drive all vehicles.
