Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our physical plant and hospital campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of engineering and plant maintenance functions to provide for efficient operation of the physical plant and hospital campus.
  • Work with HVAC and BMS systems in a healthcare setting.
  • Transport equipment of varying sizes and weights throughout the facility and hospital campus.
  • Operate equipment and maintain awareness of the responsibility attached to maintaining and servicing the physical plant.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of hospital staff, visitors, and outside agencies.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 3 years of related mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Clean and valid NYS driver license.
  • Ability to communicate in an effective manner and take direction and supervision.
