Dishroom Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishroom/Utility Attendant to join our team at Husson University. As a key member of our Dining Services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

• Set up, operate, and maintain equipment in the dishroom, including dish machines, conveyor belts, and ware washing stations.
• Sort and load dirty dishes, utensils, and equipment into the dishwashing machine.
• Transport clean dishes, utensils, and equipment to the service areas.
• Assist with production and service as needed, including catering functions.
• Participate in training and departmental functions as required.

• Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.
• Basic knife skills and ability to grill, sauté, roast, broil, and fry food.
• Knowledge of proper/safe time and temperature for food handling.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in dishwashing in an institutional setting preferred.

The employee is required to continuously stand and walk, frequently balance, crouch, and stoop, and occasionally sit, kneel, crawl, reach, and work overhead. The employee must also be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and push and pull equipment on wheels that weighs up to 150 pounds.
