Dishroom Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishroom Attendant at Husson University. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our dining facilities.

• Set up, operate, and maintain equipment, including dish machines, conveyor belts, and ware washing stations.
• Clear and sort waste materials from dishware, and load racks for cleaning.
• Maintain separate dirty and clean areas to prevent cross-contamination.
• Transport clean dishware and silverware to service areas, and return prep/cook ware to production areas.
• Monitor and maintain time and temperature logs for equipment, and notify supervisors of any issues.
• Provide guidance and support to student employees in the utility/dish room area.
• Keep work areas, front and back of house, clean and well-stocked.
• Assist with production and service as needed, and participate in catering functions.

• Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of food handling safety.
• Good customer service skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, experience in institutional food service preferred.
