Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled Licensed Veterinary Care Specialist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be adept at performing essential veterinary assistant tasks and possess a positive attitude, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and personal growth.

Work Schedule

This position offers a four-day work week with alternating weekends, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Our facility observes all major holidays, and there are no after-hours emergency responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather comprehensive patient histories and perform triage assessments.
  • Provide gentle and effective patient restraint.
  • Execute proficient venipuncture and IV catheter placements.
  • Assist in surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and dental cleanings.
  • Capture high-quality digital radiographs, with an emphasis on dental radiographs.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment for in-house bloodwork and specimen analysis.
  • Administer medication dosages accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
  • Engage in client communication regarding treatment options and educational resources.
  • Deliver compassionate care to all patients.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary technician role.
  • Strong computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking effectively.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills.
