Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Fundraising Leadership: Evaluate and enhance the current advancement program, developing a strategic framework to expand outreach and secure sustainable philanthropic support.
- Comprehensive Advancement Strategy: Design and implement a multi-year strategy aimed at increasing philanthropic contributions in alignment with institutional priorities.
- Donor Engagement: Collaborate with university leadership to assess philanthropic potential, cultivate relationships, and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects.
- Team Development: Build and lead a diverse and high-performing advancement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Operational Improvement: Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the advancement operations.
- Community Representation: Act as a representative of the university at various events, promoting the mission and vision of UNCG.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with at least eight to ten years of progressive experience in fundraising and program management, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising initiatives and team leadership.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to community engagement.
- Experience in enhancing the effectiveness of development programs.
- Ability to inspire and mentor staff while promoting a culture of achievement.
- High integrity and emotional intelligence, with a focus on building relationships.
