Title: Transportation Operations Supervisor

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at Transdev. This role is essential for overseeing the Fixed Route Service operations, ensuring that our transportation services run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a commitment to excellence in customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise all vehicle operators to guarantee effective scheduling and optimal staffing for each route.
  • Provide guidance and support to foster a cohesive team environment through clear communication, performance evaluations, training, and mentorship.
  • Conduct safety evaluations and ride checks for vehicle operators, addressing operational challenges and assisting transit passengers as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 21 years with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Preferred 5 years of driving experience.
  • Possession of a Commercial Driving License with passenger and airbrake endorsements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret transit regulations and navigate maps.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination, including background and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for manipulation, reach with arms, and communicate effectively.
  • Frequent sitting is required.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Majority of work is performed outdoors, monitoring service on routes and at transit facilities, requiring the ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Remaining tasks are conducted in an office environment, utilizing a computer and telephone.
Compensation:
  • Competitive pay range from $25.37/hr to $29.45/hr.
