Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the daily functions of the receiving department.
  • Ensure the precise and timely processing of incoming shipments, confirming the quantity and quality of received goods.
  • Supervise the inspection and documentation of items received, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to address any discrepancies or challenges with incoming shipments.
  • Provide training and development for receiving staff on best practices for handling, storing, and distributing incoming products.
  • Maintain detailed records of inventory levels, including receiving reports, inventory counts, and stock adjustments.
  • Enforce safety regulations and best practices within the receiving department.
  • Work closely with other departments to streamline receiving processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Address escalated customer inquiries or complaints related to receiving operations.
  • Engage in regular meetings with management to review departmental objectives, performance metrics, and improvement strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse operations, particularly in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching, motivating, and developing team members.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of interacting confidently with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
