Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize estimating software to efficiently take off piping/plumbing materials and quantities.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and equipment.
  • Request quotes from subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing on all estimates.
  • Work closely with project managers to understand project requirements and provide accurate estimates.
  • Make recommendations to project managers on cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Assist in tracking estimates and project results for future budget pricing.
  • Participate in job walks as needed to ensure accurate site assessments.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on estimating.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software, such as Trimble or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and blueprints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project managers, field teams, and other stakeholders.
