Perioperative Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team at New England Baptist Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient safety.
- Circulating Nurse Duties: Supervise non-professional staff, assist surgeons and anesthesiologists as needed, and maintain a sterile field.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Education and Professional Development: Stay current with nursing trends and best practices, and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master's degree in Nursing (MA RN) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year scrub and circulating RN experience required; demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) or American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) certification preferred.
