Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist Trainee to become part of our innovative team. We are committed to transforming the field of radiology, ensuring it plays a pivotal role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Imaging Services:

  • Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, explaining imaging procedures, positioning them correctly for optimal scans, and providing reassurance throughout the process.
  • Execute routine imaging tasks on specified body areas for physician use in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, minimizing the need for repeat scans while ensuring patient comfort.
  • Perform advanced imaging techniques under supervision, adjusting parameters as necessary.
  • Implement dose reduction strategies as applicable, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety regulations to safeguard the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work environment organized and hygienic, promoting safety for patients and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR standards and maintain accreditation requirements.
  • Regularly check and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality after each use.
  • Uphold all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) Departmental Support:

  • Assist in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software enhancements.
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, placing orders as needed.

(5%) Additional Duties:
