Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician II to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples for testing and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using aseptic techniques and following established protocols.
  • Process and label blood samples for testing and analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient laboratory operations, including maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and laboratory personnel to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of relevant phlebotomy and/or specimen processing/laboratory experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, NHA, ASPT, AMT) required.
  • Knowledge of current medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
