Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the imaging process
  • Monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Technologist specializing in Radiography, or Sonographer
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
