Speech Therapist Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team at a school district near Richmond, Massachusetts. As a Speech Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide support in conducting speech and language assessments, implementing therapeutic activities, and monitoring student progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting speech and language assessments under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and exercises designed by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide direct support during individual or small group speech therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior during therapy sessions.
  • Assist in preparing materials and resources for speech therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support the integration of speech and language goals into classroom activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
Requirements:
  • Current MA State License
  • Bachelors in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • PDE Teaching Certificate
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
