Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Accounts Coordinator II to join our team. As a key member of our Bursar's Office, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, staff, and faculty. Your primary duties will include serving as a liaison to other departments, troubleshooting special circumstances, and resolving issues related to tuition payments.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison to other departments to assist students with tuition payments and troubleshoot special circumstances.
- Resolve issues and student questions related to payment plans, sponsor student accounts with 3rd party vouchers, and be familiar with financial aid regulations.
- Serve as a first level of escalation for student issues and concerns, have the authority to sign off on registration forms, waive late fees, and approve payment plan exceptions.
- Pull daily drop for non-payment reports, review for accuracy, and refer any issues to the Technical Assistant.
- Process approved TAAC, Balance Disputes, and Dean of Student Complaint refund requests, mail letters, and record the outcome on a spreadsheet.
- Update the federal work-study spreadsheet after each payroll and provide daily oversight of projects with Student Accounts Assistants.
- Provide direction to student workers, update staff schedule, and coordinate lunches and breaks.
- Research un-cashed checks for Department of Education funds monthly and monitor student accounts for direct deposit information, voids, and re-issuance of checks.
- Develop and coordinate a communications schedule for student outreach via emails, send monthly account statements, and update the Student Accounts call center phone greeting mailboxes.
- Maintain required training, licensure, and/or certification, maintain confidentiality of privileged information, and adhere to applicable privacy laws.
- Associate degree or equivalent education and work experience required.
- Working skills in research, data analysis, and individual decision-making.
- Considerable organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience exhibiting superior customer service.
- Considerable written and oral communication skills.
- Working skill in MS Office suite.
- Working knowledge of Colleague or other ERP systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
This is a moderate noise work environment with typical office or administrative conditions. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed by the department.
