About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced NCLEX Specialist to join our team at West Coast University. As a key member of our student-centered community, you will play a vital role in guiding nursing students to achieve academic success and prepare them for a career in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students through workshops, remediation sessions, group tutorials, and one-on-one meetings to improve course performance.
  • ATI Integration: Ensure seamless integration of ATI tools and resources in all student meetings to enhance remediation and concept understanding.
  • Test Preparation: Develop and implement strategies to increase test-taking skills, study skills, and note-taking skills to improve course performance.
  • Faculty Collaboration: Collaborate with faculty to identify course weaknesses and develop innovative initiatives to address them.
  • Student Success: Identify students at risk for persistence issues and develop action plans to address their needs.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data from tracking platforms to identify challenges and develop interventions to address them.
  • Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of course-specific persistence strategies and progress in meeting mutually established objectives with students.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in student learning and persistence.
  • Reporting: Evaluate data from proctored assessments, tutorial sessions, and pre/post tests to inform advising and decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in nursing, education, or administration required.
  • Licensure: Professional nurse licensure required.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care or equivalent experience.
