Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Imaging Specialist performs diagnostic imaging procedures on patients to provide accurate clinical history for interpreting Radiologists. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures on patients to gather diagnostic information.
  • Collect patient history data and complete worksheets with exam findings for Radiologists.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Assist with imaging center workflow, including tasks such as burning discs with images.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification required.
  • State license, if applicable.
  • Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
  • 1-2 years experience in Ultrasound required.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Physical Demands:

  • May be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport.
  • May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Work Environment:

  • May require standing, walking, and repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.
  • May require stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
  • May require climbing and balancing.

Education and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification required.
