Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Novant Health. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine laboratory procedures, including quality control, processing, and testing of lab results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including quality control and quality assurance
  • Process and analyze laboratory results, including data entry and reporting
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and maintain department quality assurance and quality control programs
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff, and the public
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Associates Degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory, or equivalent education or training, required
  • One year experience as laboratory technician, preferred
  • MLT certification (or eligible) from ASCP or AMT, required
