Certified Coder

Job Summary:

Archbold Medical Center is seeking a skilled Certified Coder to join our team. As a Medical Records Coding Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately coding patient encounters for reimbursement, research, and compliance with Federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Code outpatient and inpatient encounters using ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding systems
Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
Enter data into the hospital computer system
Perform other duties as assigned by the coding manager and HIM Director

Requirements:

Certified Coding certification from a recognized school or allied health program/association
One year of experience in hospital-based work relating to the medical record coding process or knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
Medical terminology necessary
