Position Overview
At Houston Methodist, the Senior Endovascular Imaging Specialist is a highly skilled and proficient Radiologic Technologist responsible for executing intricate radiological procedures utilizing advanced imaging technology to generate high-quality images for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves assisting physicians in therapeutic interventions that include vascular, neurological, spinal, and multi-organ procedures. Responsibilities encompass diagnostic examinations such as angiography and venography, as well as complex treatments for conditions like strokes, aneurysms, and embolization of hemorrhages or tumors. The specialist will also be involved in catheter placements for drains or arterial infusions and other image-guided interventions that complement surgical operations.

Patient Care Involvement
As an integral member of the patient care team, the Senior Endovascular Imaging Specialist actively participates in vascular and interventional cases, aiding in the management and positioning of equipment while ensuring radiation safety throughout procedures.

Mentorship and Training
This position serves as a mentor to junior Endovascular Technologists, nursing staff, residents, and students, leveraging expertise to educate and develop the skills of others.

Independent Functionality
The Senior Endovascular Imaging Specialist operates autonomously in multiple Endovascular areas, demonstrating sound judgment and exceptional clinical skills in complex diagnostic and patient care scenarios.

Commitment to Quality Care
This role emphasizes delivering outstanding patient care while adhering to established radiation safety standards and guidelines to ensure optimal patient safety and satisfaction. Availability for on-call duties is required.

Collaboration and Teamwork
Promotes a positive work atmosphere and contributes to a cohesive, team-oriented environment that fosters mutual support to achieve departmental goals.

Continuous Improvement
Engages in departmental projects and governance activities, seeking opportunities for professional growth and development as an Endovascular Imaging Specialist.

Education and Experience
Must be a graduate of an accredited educational program recognized by the credentialing body for the required certifications. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience as an Endovascular/Special Procedures Technologist is required.
