CNC Machine Programming Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team in East Nashville. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and managing CNC programs for custom cabinetry and woodworking projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program CNC machines using Cabinetvision software, generating accurate and efficient cutting paths for cabinetry and woodworking components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to develop CNC programs that meet design specifications and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure designs are practical for CNC machining and can be manufactured efficiently.
  • Optimize CNC programs to maximize material usage, reduce machine cycle times, and improve production efficiency.
  • Monitor the production process by working closely with machine operators to ensure programs are executed correctly and make necessary adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues, toolpath errors, and any discrepancies between the design and final product.
  • Maintain a database of CNC programs and ensure documentation is up-to-date, organized, and accessible to the production team.
  • Conduct testing and validation of new programs by running simulations or overseeing test runs to verify accuracy and quality.
  • Perform post-processing and ensure the CNC code is compatible with Komo CNC machines, adjusting as needed for machine-specific settings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC programming, with specific experience using Cabinetvision software and operating Komo CNC machines.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Cabinetvision and CNC programming, including toolpath generation, G-code, and machine setup.
  • Cabinetry/Carpentry Work: Previous experience in custom cabinetry or carpentry work is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in resolving complex CNC programming issues.

Compensation: $21 - $33 per hour, depending on experience.
