Remote Work Opportunity
You'll be working remotely 75% of the time and spending the remaining 25% in Spring Hill, Tennessee. To be considered for this position, you must live within 60 miles of Nashville, TN.
About the Role
- Analyze powertrain part prints to identify features and dimensions produced during the machining process.
- Create an Excel list in a provided template to note gaging or measurement method and frequency.
- Review cutting tool preset machine programs or Tool Control document to find additional features of the cutting tool that are being checked.
- Make note of part print features not being checked either by the Control Plan or the Tool Control document.
- Provide a list of all features and their inspection method or lack of inspection method for review by the plant.
- Utilize CAD software for drawing review and analysis.
- Prioritize and identify the proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
- Communicate with team members and management, providing regular updates on process improvements, challenges, and potential issues.
- Analyze prints, processed, and work orders to identify discrepancies that could create production or quality issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software.
- Thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and design principles.
- Experience using CAD software and knowledge of how to use AutoCAD is ideal.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines.
- Solid understanding of high-volume manufacturing methods, processes, and machining.
- Excellent project management skills, able to work remotely and with limited direction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an intermediate knowledge of Excel.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
