Position Summary:
Delivers direct nursing care in environments where patients require intricate assessments and interventions, adhering to the established protocols and guidelines of the healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Gathers comprehensive information relevant to the health care consumer's condition.
- Prioritizes care by triaging each health care consumer using age-appropriate and culturally sensitive methods to enhance patient flow, especially for those needing immediate attention.
- Evaluates assessment data to establish diagnoses or issues.
- Defines expected outcomes for a tailored care plan for the health care consumer or situation.
- Implements, coordinates, and educates to foster health and a secure practice environment.
- Assesses progress towards achieving outcomes.
- Communicates effectively across various formats in all practice areas.
- Exhibits leadership within the professional practice environment and the nursing field.
- Maintains knowledge and skills that reflect contemporary nursing practices.
- Utilizes evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge in health care to inform Emergency Nursing practices, ensuring care is tailored to the patient's age-specific and clinical needs as outlined in the department's Scope of Service.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensure.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- No prior experience necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Constant standing and walking.
- Regular lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of items weighing up to 25 lbs.
