Senior AFSIM Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AFSIM Analyst to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. As a Senior AFSIM Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and analyzing models and concepts of employment for groundbreaking technologies such as advanced air platforms, strike weapons, and integrated multi-domain effects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and evaluate models and concepts of employment for advanced air platforms, strike weapons, and integrated multi-domain effects.
- Collaborate with software development teams to improve customized tools, including designing efficient representations for large datasets, testing accurate interactions across interdependent algorithms, and automating production analysis pipelines.
- Work with a team of analysts who will benefit from your experience, and senior engineers with whom you will guide the direction of analysis.
- Have opportunities to engage in independent research projects that encourage creative solutions and reward independent initiative.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related area.
- Demonstrated excellence working with AFSIM performing modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Knowledge in Air or Strike Warfare domains.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment and communicate sophisticated ideas directly with government civilians, military officers, and other contractors.
- Strong scripting and programming skills with any of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or JAVA.
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance.
- Master's or PhD degree in a technical field listed above.
- Experience using other mission-level analysis tools such as Brawler, Suppressor, JIMM, or EADSIM.
- Experience leading analysis teams performing mission-level analysis and providing mentoring and training to staff members.
- Active Top-Secret security clearance.
