Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Programmer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that support our research and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test software applications using programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
  • Collaborate with senior programmers and technical leads to develop software solutions that meet project requirements and timelines.
  • Participate in code reviews and testing processes to ensure software quality and performance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of databases and data pipelines that support research and analytics.
  • Work with data scientists and researchers to integrate data sources into our software systems.
  • Provide technical support to project teams, troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues as they arise.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of systems and programming expertise preferably in a research, marketing, or data-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data processing techniques.
  • Experience with software development tools and environments (e.g., Git, IDEs, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with or within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Leidos and its mission and objectives.

Security Clearance: Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and successfully complete a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) check.

Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $117,500.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
