About the Role

Barton House Memory Care, a division of Novellus Living, is seeking multiple Resident Care Technicians to deliver personal care, companionship, nursing support, and other assigned responsibilities to residents.

Work Schedule/Shift

  • AM Shift (Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities available)
  • PM Shift (Full-Time schedule)
  • NOC Shift (2 Full-Time opportunities available)

Compensation

Starting at $17/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver companion care as outlined in the resident's care plan.
  • Assist residents with bathing or showering to ensure thorough cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Support residents in dressing while maintaining individual privacy.
  • Help residents schedule medical appointments or other essential services as per their care plan.
  • Accompany residents to appointments as directed by supervisory staff.
  • Encourage appropriate levels of independence in resident care while ensuring safety for both residents and staff.
  • Assist residents with basic exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Support residents in participating in fitness programs or planned activities as indicated in their care plan.
  • Apply medical or adaptive devices as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Assist in specimen collection as instructed by supervisory staff.
  • Engage in activities, including leading or participating in events as directed.
  • Assist with meal service for residents based on community needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong adaptability and organizational skills.
  • Excellent resource management, computer proficiency, record-keeping, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated patience and compassion when interacting with individuals, particularly those who are elderly or in need of care.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, or early mornings.
  • Commitment to adhering to and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Preferred: Six months of experience in providing personal care in a residential or long-term care environment.
