Job Role: We are currently in search of a Roll-Off Truck Operator who will be responsible for operating a Roll-Off Truck to collect containers filled with waste or recyclable materials. The operator will transport these materials to designated disposal or recycling facilities, potentially making multiple trips during their shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor safety and service-related concerns, reporting any equipment needing repair to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain accountability for personal safety, the safety of colleagues, and the integrity of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, documenting any issues for review.
  • Engage professionally with clients and dispatchers, addressing service-related complaints with courtesy.
  • Notify dispatch of any operational issues, including blocked containers or missed pickups.
  • Ensure that all containers are emptied completely and that the customer’s location is left clean.
  • Position containers correctly on customer properties to ensure accessibility and compliance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to enhance route efficiency and implement best practices.
  • Participate in all required training sessions and safety meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently mount and dismount the truck.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to perform the job duties throughout the workday.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possession of a valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL A or B.
  • At least 1 year of experience driving and operating a Roll-Off Truck.
  • Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and relevant traffic regulations.
  • Proficient in English for effective communication and understanding of road signs.
  • Ability to read maps and navigate efficiently.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
