Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Writer to manage and direct all service department activities of a retail store that sells tires and related automotive parts and mechanical services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing complete vehicle inspections, and making comprehensive recommendations to customers.
Responsibilities- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service while listening and consulting with customers, following up with customers on services requested, estimated completion times, and other important details.
- Vehicle Inspections: Oversee complete vehicle inspections and make comprehensive recommendations to customers, building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts as needed.
- Pricing and Estimates: Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers, promoting shop service specials and ensuring customers understand the services and costs involved.
- Technician Oversight: Oversee technicians' inspections, diagnosing, and repairing of domestic, European, and Asian cars and light trucks, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the success of our team and the growth of our business.
- A minimum of 3 years of store or service Writer experience.
- General automotive knowledge.
- Excellent customer service disposition.
- Good communication skills.
- Leadership ability.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license.
$30.00 per hour.
