Child Care Program Coordinator

Job Summary:
The YMCA of Memphis & The Mid is seeking a Child Care Program Coordinator to implement activities and execute daily lesson plans for the School Age Before and After School sites and Summer Programs.
About the Role:

- The successful candidate will work with other site staff to foster children's social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth.
- This is a part-time position requiring flexibility in scheduling, with work hours varying per the needs of specific before and after sites.
Responsibilities:
- Implement engaging activities and lesson plans for school-age children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Set up and maintain a child-friendly environment, adhering to all safety standards and risk management policies.
- Collaborate with Site Directors to develop and implement quality curricula that meet YMCA guidelines.
- Maintain positive relationships with YMCA personnel, administration, and school staff.
- Monitor licensing standards to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in a group setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move equipment as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
