The State of Montana is seeking a skilled Land Survey Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical and pre-professional survey duties.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist with making measurements and collecting and recording survey data
  • Operate survey equipment, including setting stakes/monuments and researching records
  • Recover survey evidence and make rudimentary survey calculations
  • Draft survey documents at an entry level and maintain survey equipment
  • Sustain an inventory of survey supplies and assist with control, topographic, and land boundary cadastral surveys

**Requirements:**

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in surveying software and equipment
