Store Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Clerk to join our team at Holiday Companies. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Perform multi-function duties, including cleaning, stocking shelves, and maintaining store appearance.
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order.
  • Assist with receiving and verifying vendor deliveries, controlling merchandise, and performing shift audits.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform other physical functions as required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Working Conditions:
  • Perform approximately 95% of work indoors, with occasional exposure to extreme cold temperatures and occasional noise.
  • Work with minimal direction and periodic supervision.
