Nutrition Services Manager

The Nutrition Services Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the nutritional care of residents, managing a diverse caseload that includes short-term, long-term, hospice, and tube-fed individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments and food preference interviews for assigned residents.
2. Monitor and document the progress of both short-term and long-term residents.
3. Perform meal rounds, ensuring to document residents' meal consumption and satisfaction levels.
4. Engage in wound rounds and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
5. Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care.
6. Participate in meal and menu planning activities.
7. Assist in planning resident meals, guiding individuals and families in food selections.
8. Input new resident dietary preferences and allergies, making adjustments as necessary.
9. Enter and modify menus in the system as required.
10. Conduct daily inspections of the pantry, dayroom, and dining areas to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
11. Uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
12. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
13. Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Registered Dietitian.

Skills and Qualifications:
The Nutrition Services Manager should possess the following abilities:
- Ability to analyze situations accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in computer operations.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of supervision and training principles and practices.

Educational Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Certification as a Dietary Manager, if applicable based on state regulations.
