Overview

Vail Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Desk Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving guest complaints, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Oversee the registration process, issuing room keys, and providing information on hotel services and room locations.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Plan and implement upgrade strategies for next-day arrivals.
  • Perform all duties required of front desk staff, including assisting other property management, staff, and guests as needed.
  • Utilize guest profiles and names to provide personalized service.
  • Distribute mail, messages, and faxes according to operating standards.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics in dealing with guests, co-workers, and subordinates.
  • Develop strong working relationships with co-workers and managers to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
  • Act as the Manager on Duty when necessary, carrying out duties required of a manager.
  • Assist with training new and existing front desk agents on check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Supervise day-to-day front desk operations, ensuring rooms are checked out and guest bills are accurate.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests passing by.
  • Conduct site tours of guest rooms and general areas as needed.
  • Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
  • Participate in training classes and ensure the department leads the charge in regard to recycling efforts and environmental initiatives.
  • Ensure the Front Desk is kept tidy and clean at all times.
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Communicate received feedback to the appropriate managers and update guest history.
  • Comply with all Resort policies, procedures, and standards of operation.
  • Embody and promote Vail Resorts' values.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
  • Friendly, strong people skills.
  • Somewhat strong computer skills.

Compensation

The expected pay range is $25.99 per hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
