Job Title: Sanitation Manager Overnight

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Manager Overnight to join our team in Norwalk, Iowa. As a key member of our plant leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and directing sanitation activities at our Norwalk and Lenox facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sanitation programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements
  • Provide oversight of sanitation activities and ensure compliance with MFI, FSMA, and USDA standards
  • Work closely with Sanitation Supervisors to direct sanitation activities and ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures are followed
  • Develop, validate, and verify SSOPs and work instructions
  • Assist with applying wet cleaning techniques and knowledge of Clean in Place (CIP) and Clean Out of Place (COP) cleaning techniques
  • Participate in Food Safety and Quality Surveys and respond to regulatory non-compliances
  • Monitor sanitation KPIs and assist plants in corrective action
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Microbiology, Food Science/Food Technology or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sanitation of a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Food Safety/HACCP/HARPC, GMP's, and Sanitary design/controls
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
  • Able to work flexible hours (weekends) as required
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in different plant locations
