Drilling Operations Manager

Job Overview:

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work in a positive environment with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage drilling operations, ensuring safety and productivity standards are met
  • Conduct subsurface field investigations on routine and complex projects
  • Mentor and train Driller Helpers and Driller I's and II's to ensure they meet safety and productivity standards
  • Consult with engineering staff on scope and cost estimating for large drilling projects
  • Ensure all safety regulations are followed and perform material inventory as needed
  • Uphold Froehling & Robertson's mission statement and Core Values in all aspects of work

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience providing drilling services
  • High School Degree or GED required
  • State-issued well driller certification preferred
  • Class B CDL required, Class A CDL preferred or able to obtain after employment
  • Ability to problem solve, access roadblocks with poise and control
  • Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution, and follow-up
  • Punctual and dependable with ability to write legibly
  • Ability to lift heavy tooling and perform laborious work daily
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend continuously
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, and reach above shoulder
  • Ability to occasionally squat, kneel, crawl, and climb
  • Ability to work outside in frequent changes of temperatures
  • Ability to work in environments containing dust, fumes, and chemicals
  • Ability to frequently drive to and from work sites
  • Valid driver's license with good-standing driving record
  • Ability to travel overnight (up to 65%)
