**Overview of the Position:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Intensive Care Travel Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an OR - Operating Room RN, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and medical staff in a fast-paced environment.
**Estimated Salary:** $150,000 per year (based on 40 hours/week and 52 weeks/year)
**Job Description:**
As a Circulating OR Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients. Your duties may include preparing instruments and equipment, monitoring patient safety, and responding to potential complications. You will also be expected to provide basic bedside care, prepare and administer medication, and communicate effectively with patients' family members and operating team members.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
• Responding to comfort and safety needs of patients
• Accurate care and handling of specimens
• Monitoring equipment used during surgery
• Inventory of surgical items pre- and post-procedure
**Requirements:**
• BLS certification
• 2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds easily and 50 pounds occasionally
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
